EDI File Validator

Paste an EDIFACT message or upload a plain-text EDI file to validate the envelope, inspect CODECO structure, and catch operational issues before the file reaches a terminal, depot, or carrier workflow.

UN/EDIFACT envelope CODECO-focused parsing Upload or paste
Built on real Contpark terminal logic.

The validator is tuned to the CODECO segment structure used in the Contpark terminal stack, including UNB, UNH, BGM, EQD, RFF, DTM, LOC, MEA, TMP, SEL, CNT, UNT, and UNZ.

Validate a file

Use your own message or load a sample CODECO to see how the parser works.

No file selected
Ready to inspect

Paste an EDIFACT/CODECO message or upload a file to see envelope checks, extracted data, and segment-level preview.

What it validates

The helper checks the EDIFACT envelope, compares UNH and UNT references, verifies UNT segment counts, and confirms UNB/UNZ interchange references.

What it extracts

Message type, direction, sender, recipient, container number, equipment type, booking, date/time, location, weight, temperature, cargo, seal, and comment fields.

Need EDI workflows, not just validation?

Contpark helps terminals and depots generate, resend, and monitor operational EDI traffic without losing visibility across gate and yard processes.

Quick FAQ

Does this helper only work for CODECO?

No. It validates general UN/EDIFACT structure too, but the richest parsing is tuned for CODECO messages used in container terminal and depot operations.

Can I upload a real `.edi` file from my team?

Yes. Upload the file or paste the message text. The helper accepts plain-text EDI payloads such as `.edi`, `.txt`, `.edifact`, or `.codeco`.

Will it tell me why a file fails?

Yes. You will see structural errors, softer warnings, extracted values, and a preview of the parsed segments so it is easier to find the broken part quickly.
